  13. FLIP_RS.ZIP      2566  06-09-94  Flipped (Salesas, Robert; $0) is a harmless
  14.                                | joke program that flips the screen upside
  15.                                | down, wallpaper and all. The screen reverts
  16.                                | to normal when you click the mouse.
  17. PC_VD.ZIP       14699  06-09-94  PC-VD (Merriman, David; $?) is an amusing
  18.                                | little program that pokes fun at viruses and
  19.                                | the hoopla surrounding them. Requires

  22.                                | harmless practical joke to pull on someone.
  23.                                | We won't spoil it by telling you what it

  25. RUNNIN.ZIP       2631  08-18-88  Runnin ($0) is an amusing little desktop
  26.                                | joke. It creates a small window that runs
  27.                                | away from your mouse cursor. You must try to
  28.                                | catch it and click on the close button.

  30. AUTO_CN.ZIP     26895  06-09-94  Auto Concentration 1.0 (Leonardo, Lou and
  31.                                | Howman, Cean; $20) is an interesting and
  32.                                | challenging version of Concentration. You
  33.                                | turn over squares trying to match up
  34.                                | different automobile manufacturer logos. The
  35.                                | three levels of difficulty give you a 4x4,
  36.                                | 6x6, or 10x6 board to solve. A top ten list
  37.                                | is maintained. This is lots of fun, with
  38.                                | great colors and many playing options.
  39. CONCEN.ZIP      30291  08-18-88  Concentration Challenge 1.0 (Thomas R.
  40.                                | Weiss; $10) is a colorful version of the
  41.                                | classic matching game. Requires VBRUN300.
  42. FLIPOUT.ZIP     60046  06-09-94  Flip Out! 3.0 (Johnson, Kent; $20) is a
  43.                                | Concentration-type game for Windows. You can
  44.                                | play against others, or against the
  45.                                | computer. Several game types are provided
  46.                                | including matching dice with their totals,
  47.                                | clock faces to digital time, coins to their
  48.                                | amounts, and fractions. Games can be scored
  49.                                | against the clock, or by how many matches
  50.                                | you achieve. Other features include custom
  51.                                | board sizes, high score lists, and much
  52.                                | more. VBRUN is required.
  53. MATCHES.ZIP    209895  06-09-94  Matches (Quality Concepts; $10) is a unique
  54.                                | "Concentration" game. In addition to trying
  55.                                | to remember/match hidden pictures, there is
  56.                                | an option to match pictures and words. This
  57.                                | is an excellent game for both children and
  58.                                | adults. A hard disk is required. (The
  59.                                | authors are no longer at the address
  60.                                | provided in the documentation.)
  61. MEMTILES.ZIP    80540  12-06-93  Memory Tiles (Patch, Kevin L.; $10) is an
  62.                                | attractive Concentration type game. You can
  63.                                | use either shapes or pictures for tiles, or
  64.                                | a combination of both. Several different
  65.                                | sizes of playing grids are provided, or you
  66.                                | can create a custom grid of any dimensions.
  67. NCRUNCH.ZIP     15835  06-09-94  Number Crunch 2.0 (Persky, Jon; $5) is a
  68.                                | memory game that requires you to turn up the
  69.                                | hidden numbers 1-20 in order. The better you
  70.                                | can remember the location of numbers you
  71.                                | have already seen, the faster you can solve
  72.                                | the puzzle, which is the goal of the game.
  73. SIMN_JE.ZIP     17357  06-09-94  Simon 1.01 (Elkins, Jeff; $0) is a variation
  74.                                | of the Simon Says game. You must click on
  75.                                | the colors, trying to match the sequence
  76.                                | played by the computer. VBRUN is required.

  78.                                | design cellular automatons and cellular
  79.                                | computers (similar to Game of Life theory).
  80. CELLWAR.ZIP     74596  12-06-93  Cell War 1.0 (Funk, Al ASP; $5) is a battle
  81.                                | to the death for two rival microorganisms.
  82.                                | As you place new microbes on the grid, they
  83.                                | will either grow and propagate or die
  84.                                | depending on their placement. You can play
  85.                                | against a friend or a computer opponent with
  86.                                | variable levels of difficulty. Requires
  87.                                | WIN31 and a mouse.
  88. LIFE_DS.ZIP      5128  06-09-94  The Game of Life 1.0 (Stafford, David; $0)
  89.                                | is a game of cellular survivial for Windows.
  90.                                | There are several different species of
  91.                                | cells, including Snowflake, Glider,

  93.                                | plant them on the screen and watch their
  94.                                | struggles. You can zoom in and out on the
  95.                                | display, step through a growth cycle, and

  100. 21CT.ZIP        43009  06-09-94  21 CardTrick 1.1 (MOJO Software; $7) is a
  101.                                | magic trick for Windows. Three rows of cards
  102.                                | are displayed. You pick one and the computer
  103.                                | figures out which it is.
  104. B_ARROW.ZIP     31888  07-16-93  Bow & Arrow 1.0 (Di Troia, John; $12) is an
  105.                                | entertaining hand-eye coordination game.
  106.                                | Having seen bow-and-arrow type games that
  107.                                | were not very interesting, we were prepared
  108.                                | to be disappointed again, which made this
  109.                                | one all the more enjoyable. In the first
  110.                                | stage, balloons float up the screen and you
  111.                                | must shoot them all before you run out of
  112.                                | arrows. On the second level, you must again
  113.                                | shoot the red balloons, but without hitting
  114.                                | the yellow balloons. The third level, in
  115.                                | which you must pop bubbles to let the
  116.                                | butterflys trapped in them fly away, is easy
  117.                                | enough to lull you to sleep, only to get
  118.                                | "slimed" on the next level. We never got
  119.                                | beyond level four, not being nimble enough
  120.                                | to avoid being slimed, so you will have to
  121.                                | discover for yourself what awaits you on the
  122.                                | higher levels.
  123. BLCKOUT.ZIP     38579  06-09-94  Blackout (Mills, Patrick; $12) is a
  124.                                | challenging hand-eye coordination game.

  132.                                | rolling the dice and then selcting a tile or

  137.                                | adult oriented role-playing game for
  138.                                | Windows. The goal of your character is to
  139.                                | successfully answer a series of questions by
  140.                                | a beautiful girl in hopes of going out with
  141.                                | her. When a question is asked, you must
  142.                                | choose from a menu of possible answers. If
  143.                                | she likes your response, you are allowed
  144.                                | more questions. The 256-color pictures,
  145.                                | digitized voices/sound effects, and MIDI
  146.                                | soundtrack are very well done. Requires
  147.                                | WIN31 and VBRUN200. A sound card is highly
  148.                                | recommended. (The authors can no longer be

  151. ICHINGW.ZIP     55240  06-09-94  I Ching for Windows 1.01 (Pocket-Sized
  152.                                | Software; $10) provides an interpretation of
  153.                                | an ancient Oriental form of fortune-telling.
  154.                                | Sixty-four hexagrams and their meanings are
  155.                                | provided, and you can randomly select one
  156.                                | after posing a question or view each one

  178.                                | score is displayed in what is normally the
  179.                                | icon's title. Not the most challenging
  180.                                | arcade game in the world, but one of the
  181.                                | cutest and cleverest.

  183.                                | fun programs for Windows. LAIR is a game
  184.                                | fashioned after Minesweeper where you search
  185.                                | for gold and jewels in a Mayan Ruin.
  186.                                | LAVALAMP simulates the classic 60's light on
  187.                                | your desktop. TICTAC allows two players to
  188.                                | play a simple game of tic-tac-toe. CONVERTS
  189.                                | allows you to convert different types of
